Chongqing discovered early signs of human activity

Some human activity signs dating back to the New Stone Age (6000-3000 BC)
were discovered at the Dadiping archaeological site of Chongqing's
Yunyang County recently. Person in charge of this archaeological project
introduced that the most ancient articles found at the Dadiping site
belonged to the late New Stone Age dating back 4,500 to 5,000 years.
Currently, this is the only site of the New Stone Age discovered on the
300-odd kilometer-long riverway bank starting from Chongqing Municipality
along the upper reaches to Wushan in the lower reaches of the Three
Gorges reservoir areas. More than 100 items of representative cultural
relics have been excavated at this site, including forged stone
implements and objects made of bone. Pictured: archaeological personnel
were seeking articles in the ash pit of the site.
